Youth Advocate • Survivor Voice • National Speaker
Dane Still is a compelling national speaker and youth advocate who brings a rare and vital perspective to conversations around domestic violence, childhood trauma, and resilience. As the eldest son of survivor-advocate Susan Still, Dane was forced—as a child—to witness and record his mother’s abuse at the hands of his father. Today, as an adult, he speaks boldly from the perspective of a child survivor turned changemaker.
Dane’s message cuts through headlines and statistics. With honesty, clarity, and lived insight, he speaks to responders, court officials, military leaders, educators, parents, and—most importantly—young people themselves. His goal: to help adults truly understand the lasting impact of domestic violence on children and to inspire systems that prioritize protection, healing, and prevention.
Dane has spoken alongside his mother on national stages, including The Oprah Winfrey Show and Oprah’s Lifeclass, and continues to deliver keynotes and workshops across the country. His engagements include the Third Judicial Circuit Family Violence Council, U.S. Department of Justice Youth Violence Prevention Conference, National Council of District Attorneys, Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the National Conference on Preventing Crime in the Black Community, Bakersfield American Indian Health Project, and multiple U.S. military installations.
Whether addressing a packed auditorium or a small room of decision-makers, Dane’s voice is unforgettable—and urgently needed.
