SUSAN STILL

Topic: Domestic Violence

Susan Still is a nationally recognized speaker and women's rights advocate whose harrowing personal journey has become a catalyst for change in the fight against domestic violence. Enduring 24 years of escalating emotional, verbal, and physical abuse, Susan's story took a pivotal turn when her then-husband forced their 13-year-old son to videotape one of her beatings—a chilling piece of evidence that led to a landmark 36-year prison sentence, the longest in New York State history for a domestic violence case where the victim survived.

Susan's courage and resilience have been spotlighted on national platforms, including The Oprah Winfrey Show, Oprah's Lifeclass, Oprah: Where Are They Now?, and ABC's 20/20 with Diane Sawyer. Through these appearances, she has shed light on the complexities of domestic abuse and the systemic changes needed to protect victims and hold perpetrators accountable.

As a sought-after keynote speaker, Susan addresses diverse audiences—from law enforcement agencies and legal professionals to corporate leaders and educational institutions. Her presentations delve into the multifaceted impact of domestic violence, emphasizing the critical role of community awareness, workplace policies, and proactive intervention strategies.

Susan recently earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and continues to educate and empower others by participating in training sessions for law enforcement, victim advocates, and community responders. She also speaks at military bases, youth conferences, high schools, and colleges, focusing on recognizing warning signs and breaking the cycle of abuse.

Susan Still's unwavering commitment to advocacy serves as an inspiration, demonstrating the profound impact one voice can have in transforming pain into purpose and fostering a safer, more informed society.
